Private-label lash brands usually stall on three factory questions: how small the first order can be, how fast a sample can ship, and when bulk production actually starts. Here is Howin Biotech’s published OEM/ODM process — the numbers come from our OEM/ODM page, not a sales script.

MOQ: 50 pieces

Howin’s private-label MOQ is 50 pcs. That is a sampling-to-first-PO size, not a container load. It is meant for salons, lash brands, and distributors who need a branded adhesive without locking a warehouse of stock.

If you are comparing factories, ask them to put MOQ next to SKU, not next to “per colour / per box / per formula.” A 50-piece MOQ on a single eyelash glue SKU is the figure to use in your cost model.

Samples: 7–10 days

Standard sampling lead time is 7–10 days. Use that window to check viscosity on the lash strip, fume in a closed room, and how the bottle and cap feel in a technician’s hand — not only whether the glue “sticks.”

When you request samples, send:

  • Target use: classic, volume, or cluster / DIY
  • Climate you sell into (humidity range), even if you do not have a lab spec yet
  • Bottle size and branding (your label vs Howin stock pack)
  • Certificates you must show a buyer: SDS, GMPC, ISO 22716, CE, RoHS, or FDA marks

Do not skip SDS on the first sample request. Professional buyers will ask for it before they test in a salon.

Production: 15 business days

After sample sign-off, production lead time is 15 business days. That clock starts when the formula, packaging, and artwork are confirmed — not when the first email arrives.

Plan backwards from your launch date: 7–10 days for samples, review time on your side, then 15 business days in production, plus freight. The factory calendar is the only part Howin controls; freight is not included in that 15-day figure.
